turn on the light

I have another art journaled page today and this one was inspired by a page I saw with similar lamps. Unfortunately I don’t know who to give credit to. It was also done with some sermon notes in mind from a guest speaker in a local church that we went to visit a week ago. I used Sweet ‘n Sassy’s Love Ya Like A Sister Alpha, Outline Alpha, and Note This.  The lamps/bulbs were drawn and the cobweb is an old PSX wood mounted stamp.

Isaiah 9 2 diane zechman

I used my Inktense pencils on this page and I’m still looking for my date stamp!

Thanks for popping in!  Be sure to check out more inspiration on the Creative Worship Blog.  Have a great day!

One response to “turn on the light

  1. LOVE this page and your wonderful hand drawn lights…maybe a design for a new set:). Yes, the light reveals things to us and also dispels darkness, but the big word here is “repentance” ! So often we come with our sin, wanting all the grace and riches Christ has to offer, but I wonder if we really want His forgiveness because often we come with unrepentant hearts wanting to hang onto our sin and have Him accept it:(. However, the truth shall set us free and light up our lives:) I know He takes us just as we are, but the posture we come to Him in is to be broken and repentant…a broken and contrite heart He will in no wise cast out!
