Ever since I made this watering can, I have been wanting to try the other watering can template I had. It only took me almost a year. lol. It is a fun template, though, so I guess it was worth the wait. You can find the source of this template here.
I thought this would be the perfect project to use with Christine’s Swiss Pixie kit. I started with some nice double-sided paper for the can. I like to use the reverse sides for the handles and spout.
The images were colored with Copics and carefully cut out with a craft knife and scissors. This pattern makes a watering can that is triangular in shape. On the second side I placed the fence image and only some Primas were added to the back.
Here’s some close-ups so you can see the intricate cutting. I just realized that I missed a tiny white spot under one of her wings. It’s too late to cut that out so I may need to go back and color it in. oops! I love these sweet images…the girl was cut out separate and placed on top of the wheelbarrow. The cutting was a little tricky around the flower and butterfly…lol…but it wasn’t too bad to cut.
And here’s the fence…the grass part wasn’t too difficult either…just a little time consuming.
Enjoy the last moments of the weekend! It’s almost Monday….sigh.
