sock monkey suspension card
A few days ago I was invited to stamp with some friends and this is the card I made to share. I wasn’t sure whether I was fond of this monkey, but I think he’s growing on me. LOL. He was colored with Prisma pencils and Gamsol and then I paper pieced his body and tail. It looks cute IRL. The circle with the cupcake is suspended on a piece of SU linen thread and there’s another circle on the opposite side with the party hat image. Directions on making a Suspension card can be found here. The fake dew drops around the monkey were a gift….I thought they would be cute here to finish off the corners.
stamps- Sock Monkey
paper- Celery, Non-SU yellow & Birch, Cocoa and Rose Red dp
ink- Black
accessories- Prismacolor pencils & Gamsol, faux dew drops, circle & oval punches, red-line tape, linen thread, glue dots, paper piercer

THis is the best looking sock monkey I have seen done so far…Such a cute idea..Great job on this card!!
So cute, Diane!! Suspending the cupcake is great
This is the cutest sock monkey I’ve seen - I LOVE him pieced with this argyle plaid paper — how fun!!! I’m sure they all loved it!!!
This is so really cute! First I didn’t like the monkey, but after looking twice I think he is really sweet.
I LOVE your use of the argyl dp for your sock monkey! Carol Duvall would be proud!
Your argyle monkey is too cute.
