one layer birds

birds-on-a-wire-diane-zechman.jpgSorry this pic is so yucky!  I was trying to get the shimmer to show up but it was difficult.  This one layer card was made for All That Scraps’ review preview Friday.  Today we are using the set Olivia’s Birdies and this time I wanted to try sitting the birds on a wire.  I stamped the post image sideways to create the wire, then masked it before stamping the birds.  The images were colored with Twinkling H2O’s and really shimmer IRL.  The only added embellishment is a clear sticker over the words.  Sometimes it is nice to make a clean, simple card without all of the added layers and fru-fru.  Hopefully this card shows how versatile the set really can be.

    I’m loving the simple layout! It isn’t simply made….that is a lot of masking and coloring for it to be a simple card. Love this set…can’t wait to get it…should be here in the next few days!!!

    wow! I would never be able to mask something as small as that wire and have there not be a big halo around it. Great job! Really Cute card too!
