fun Friday!
Here are today’s cards. For the first one I combined 3 challenges to make it! The challenges were posted by cwilliams, Cambria and JuliaS. I also got to use my first new set from the catty- Garden Whimsy. I love it in pink!
I used a piece of clear acetate for one of the layers in the sketch. I stamped it with Brilliance White and lightly heat set it. Then I used a tiny bit of mono-adhesive where it will be hidden under the main image. This held it in place while I stitched the strip of designer paper over top with my sewing machine.
stamps- Garden Whimsy
cs- Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, white, Tickles dp
ink- Brilliance White, Regal, Pretty in Pink, Black, Celery
access- acetate, circle punches, sewing machine, pop dots
The second pic here is for Jami’s challenge. The first card is a semi-case of LodiChick that I made recently. I loved the simple design.
On the second sample I added a blue scalloped circle, watercolored the leaves and added some pen-stitching. I have a hard time doing simple cards so I really liked this layout!
stamps- Sew Seasonal
cs- Kraft, Celery, Artichoke, Bashful, non-SU
ink- Celery, Black, Bashful, Lav. Lace, Artichoke
access- Scalloped & circle punches, brads, pop dots
Be sure to check out the challenges tomorrow. I hope you play along….I will be hosting one!

I already left comments on SCS about both of your cards today, but wanted to check out your blog, since I just learned about it today. Since your SCS gallery is so wonderful, I knew your blog would be too–and I’m not disappointed! I know I’ll be back–I’m putting your site in my favorites!
Beautiful cards. I really like what you did with the clear acetate. What a wonderful idea!
Wow, you’ve sure been having yourself a time with these challenges! Fun! And every card is a winner! You go, Diane! Gosh, your elegant card is an absolute beauty!
They are both great, Diane, but I looooooooooove that pink one!!!!!! SO pretty!
Beautiful. Makes me wish I’d gotten that whimsey set on my first order. Oh, well - next time.
I love all of these ones too, I remember making that cadr of Tracy’s because I thought it was a great card to CASE for a stampcamp…I like your second version with the stitching, very cute, maybe we will use that at stampcamp.
