floral anniversary

Good morning!

Just popping in with an anniversary card using some Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps.  Here I used Floral Greetings.

The edge of the watercolor paper panel was wet with water and torn away.  Then I colored with Inktense pencils and blended with water and a brush. Some wink of Stella was added to the flower centers and butterflies. The sentiment strip is popped on foam tape.

peace on earth

Good morning!

Today I am sharing this card on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the Peace on Earth and Christmas Botanicals stamp sets.  I think they coordinate together nicely.

My plan was to stamp the dove to show through the oval cutout (as in the photo) but to emboss the words in white on the blackberry panel.  I just couldn’t envision how to complete it and I really wanted to also emboss the panel with this pretty embossing folder, so I decided to skip the embossed words and add a sentiment strip instead.  The flower and leaves were popped with foam tape and I added some pearls to finish.

Have a great day!

Just popping in with another Christmas card using some of the new stamps this month on the Sweet ‘n Sassy website.  Here I used Christmas Blocks again, this time with a cute little elf.

Christmas Blocks

Good morning!

Today I am sharing two cards on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the new Christmas Blocks stamp set released this week on the Sweet ‘n Sassy website.  When it comes to making Christmas cards, I am usually making multiples so I need to make them quick & easy!  One great way to make CAS cards is to start with an assorted box of pre-printed card bases.  Just add your stamps and embellishments!

For the first card, I stamped and colored the Santa face, popped him up with foam tape, and stamped the sentiment.  Some Stickles and Wink of Stella add a bit of sparkle to complete the cards.

The second card had a snowman pre-printed on the front.  I simply die cut a speech bubble window and stamped the sentiment on the inside to peek through.

Christmas Blocks 2 diane zechman

When opened, you see a second sentiment stamped beneath the first one. I also added the little present image in the corner and kept the coloring minimal.  Some Stickles added to the card front finished this one as well.

you’re too kind

Good morning!

Today I am sharing this card on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the Long Stem Silhouettes and Kindness Matters stamp sets.

I added a 4 x 5 1/4″ piece of white craft foam underneath the white panel (a Jennifer McGuire trick) to pop it up from the base.  I love how it gives a nice thickness and quality feel to the card.  The flowers were stamped 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation to give it some depth, and I used my trusty Bow-Easy tool to make a nice bow.  How pretty is that hand-written “kind”?

sweetness to the soul

Good morning!

Today I am sharing this card on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the Sweet As Honey and Fantastic Flowers stamp sets.  Who says a card with bees has to be black & yellow? Pink bees? Yes, please!

I love using this set for a collage.  If you look close, there are also some leaves in the background.  The flower was paper pieced and I added Stickles to the center.  The bee was popped up.  I had a few scraps of black cardstock laying close by so I added them in the corners and was happy with the simple layout for this busy panel.

Have a great day!

All three sets are designed for the Creative Worship line which is geared toward bible journaling. Although I really love using them that way, I also like to pull words and images to create a card….so you can get more bang for your buck!  This one is clean & simple…a very quick card after I figured out how I wanted to make it. lol.

Have a great day!

sweet as honey

Good morning!

Today I am sharing this card on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the Sweet as Honey stamp set from this month’s release.  There’s something about bee stamps that is hard to resist and this set has some wonderful text to go with it!

I sponged yellow ink, then used the images with 2 of the sentiments to create a collage background and popped up one bee on the side.

Romans 8 and a thank you card

Good morning!

Today I am sharing two projects, a card and a bible journaling page, on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the Fantastic Flowers stamp set.  The card I made also uses Kindness Matters.

FF thank you diane zechman

This card is simple but very striking with the flower layered onto the white panel. I simply sponged 3 colors of ink onto white cardstock and stamped the flower on top in black. After I cut the flower out, I hated to throw away the leftover sponged piece, so I stamped the leaves, cut it down to the size I needed, and used it for my background.  I stamped the sentiment and added a few Nuvo drops to finish it off.

After my card was done, I loved the color combo and decided to re-create it in my bible. I chose Romans 8:37-39 to journal. The colors are a little more muted on the bible page but it still turned out fine. I masked the verse and purposely sponged the color lighter on the top left corner.

The same leaves and flower were stamped in black and highlighted a bit with a white pen. “Made for More” was stamped with the Love Ya Like A Sister Alpha. “Nothing can separate us…” was typed on my computer and cut out.

Have a great day!

dad

So, I am 2 days late in sharing a Father’s Day card. But…it could really be used any time of the year for a birthday or any occasion.  I was inspired by a card done by Nina Brackett and came up with a water-colored card of my own.

father's day master of the sea diane zechman

Here I used Master Of The Sea and For My Father. The compass was stamped lightly on the panel underneath and I finished it off with two Black Nuvo Drops.

Have a great evening!
