as high as the sky

Good morning!

Today I am sharing a card on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the new Stand Tall stamp set and a previously released favorite…Scribble Flowers and matching dies!  This giraffe set is very sweet and I wanted to go out of the norm and give it some equally sweet colors.  Pink giraffe? Yes, please!

I pulled my colors for the giraffe and flower from the fun patterned papers.  The giraffe was colored with Copics and the flower and leaves were stamped with black ink onto colored cardstock.  I love the way this flower set looks when done this way!  I just added an enamel dot to the center of the flower. (This particular flower has a stem but I cut it off.)

Have a happy and blessed Sunday!  Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!

oh deer

Good morning! There’s some NEW stamp sets on the Sweet ‘n Sassy website today…check them out!  I used the As The Deer set for my card.  It was created for the Creative Worship line of stamps but can be used for cards and various other projects as well.

I found some patterned paper in my stash that looked like it was water-colored so I used that for my background and stamped several images in green ink.  I love this fawn…one of the cutest deer, don’t you think?

Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!

Luke 2

I finally got a Christmas page done for my Bible Journaling Class….if you are local and want to join us, call Lisa at The Craft Shack to sign up!  With the Christmas holiday and other conflicts, we decided to postpone our December class until January.

This was done with Stazon ink, Prismacolor pencils, and Gamsol.  No prep!  I used my Joy to the World and Poinsettias & Candles stamp sets.

And here’s another page I did in the fall…

Good morning and…Happy New Year!

Today I am sharing a card on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the LOL Cats stamp set and the Number Dies.  Of course, the numbers need to be shiny for a brand new year…so I pulled out a pack of foiled papers to die cut them with.

I also gave kitty a sparkly hat and horn with some Stickles.

Sooo…the big question this time of year is always… “Are you ready for Christmas?”.  Umm…No. We finally got our tree up Sunday night. I still have baking and shopping to do. But on Christmas Eve, I hope I can say “Yes, I’m ready.” ha.

I was playing around, though, with some salt dough ornaments using my Poinsettias & Candles stamp set and one of my Christmas cookie stamps.

I mixed my dough and rolled it out on freezer paper, then cut the hearts by hand.  I used 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup salt and 1/4 cup warm water but my mixture was sticky and needed more flour. Next time I’ll add more salt or less water. Use a toothpick or straw to make a hole.

The hearts were stamped with Versafine ink.

I baked them in a toaster oven at 200 degrees and flipped them a few times (not sure how long) but my toaster oven runs hot so next time I’ll use the regular oven.  The toaster oven browned them a bit…so I sponged some Distress Vintage Photo on to “age” them.

This might be my last post before the holiday so I hope you all have a blessed Christmas!

monogram notecards

Good morning!

Today I am sharing some monogram note cards on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the Shake it Off Lowercase Alpha, Grunge Elements, and Scribble Flowers stamp sets.  These come together pretty quickly once you decide on your design and you can easily make multiples for a set (perfect for last minute Christmas gifts)!  I ended up with 3 layouts that I liked.

The first card was inspired by this one. Then I made two more versions with the same supplies, yet different layouts.  I got a bit carried away with the flowers here…lol…so the rest of the cards I made with this layout had less.  😉

Each one was embellished with some bling and bits of paper doilies.  The monogram letter circles are popped with foam dimensionals.

Don’t forget some matching envelopes!

some happy mail

Good morning!

Today Sweet ‘n Sassy is featuring a few of the new stamp sets from this month’s release.  I used the cute Cocoa Sends Love set for my card.

This set has lots of sentiments in a really sweet font.  I didn’t know which to choose!  Since I added the envelope patterned paper, I used “some happy mail”.

Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!

a merry snowflake

When I was preparing for a swap last month, I made this Christmas card with some SU! (merry and borders) and Sweet ‘n Sassy (snowflake) dies.  Then I realized how many I had to make and how many passes through the die cut machine it would take and quickly scrapped the idea. lol.  But not before getting a few created.

My card was inspired by THIS one in the SCS gallery.

I glued the bottom of each layer of the snowflake down but added foam tape to the upper edges.

Have a great Saturday!

Christmas sled

At a gathering with friends last month, this was my card for the Christmas card swap.  I like the white on white with a pop of red!  What you can’t see is the sparkle of Stickles on the rooftops.

The sentiment is from my Poinsettias & Candles stamp set and the background is an old Cuttlebug embossing folder.   The Impression Obsession Evergreen Trees and sledding die came from The Craft Shack. :)

Have a great day!

joy to you

Here’s another card I found playing catch-up. This one I made last year using a Paper Pumpkin kit. At the time, I thought the card needed something so I added an image from my Joy To The World stamp set.
