a little birdie told me..

Hello and happy Monday!  Here’s a different shaped card for today.  I used the new Sweet ‘n Sassy sets Thankful Blooms and Love Birds to create this File Folder Card with my Envelope Punch Board.

And here’s the inside..

There are quite a few tutorials and videos on creating this style of card but I followed this one.  If you don’t have a punch board, you can also make a file folder card following the directions found here.  That’s how I made some several years ago.

I stamped the birds onto patterned paper and only cut one out for the front.  An additional wing was stamped and popped up for dimension.  The flower was also popped up over the ribbon.  Two of the sentiments were placed on a clear block in a wavy manner to give the card a whimsical feel.

I am really enjoying this month’s Sweet ‘n Sassy release…I hope you love it too!

Welcome to day 4 (our final day) of the Sweet ‘n Sassy March release Blog Hops!

Today we’re featuring the new Pick Me Up stamp set.  I love this cute little mug and the matching set of dies makes it so fun!  I like to make shaped cards and I thought this sweet mug would look great on a smaller, banner shaped card.

I also used the Grunge Elements to create a fun background. My mug was popped on dimensionals.

Welcome to day 3 of the Sweet ‘n Sassy January feature Blog Hops!

Today we’re featuring my new set called Valentine Critters.  There are several animals and sentiments to choose from to create a card for someone you love.  Here I used the teddy bear and stamped him directly onto patterned paper.

I also used the same sentiment with my Country Bear Card Template to create a fun bear shaped card.  Wouldn’t this also be a cute template for a baby card?

And if you missed my post last Wednesday, you can see a fun gift card box I made with another stamp from this set HERE.

merry little Christmas

We (the Sweet ‘n Sassy DT) are in a holiday mood this month…it’s never too early to get your Christmas cards done!  Today I’m sharing these two cards on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog.  I started with some My Mind’s Eye papers from the Merry Little Christmas line and two stamp sets from this month’s release.  For my first card I also used Korin’s Mug Card Template.

I added one of the images from my Snowman Soup set and some Stickles for a bit of sparkle.

Next I used the Mod Ornaments and Ornaments dies to create this card.

I added several gemstones and some Stickles to the ornaments so this card shimmers as well.

Thanks for popping in and have a great Monday!

It’s time for another Sweet ‘n Sassy Release and this month Korin has an awesome lineup of 6 stamp sets plus some dies to get you started on your holiday card-making and gift-giving projects!

I am hosting our first challenge today…Use Blue, White & one other main color (player’s choice)….go check it out.  For my sample, I’ve  used some images from the new Christmas Silhouettes set.  I also used my Ornament Card Template which is available here.

The fold on this card is at the top.  Here’s a pic when opened.

This could also be hung for decoration and it fits nicely in an A2 envelope.

Check out all the new releases and join in the challenges to win.  :0)  And be sure to check back…the blog hops start tomorrow with more chances to win!

a book shaped card

Hi!  It’s time again for another fantastic Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps release and I have another shaped card to share.  One of Korin’s new sets is all about bookmarks and reading so this month I made a book shaped card.  (The template can be found HERE on the Sweet ‘n Sassy site.)

The frame on the front is also a new stamp this month that matches the Decorative Plaques dies!

And here’s the card when opened…

Be sure to check out the FULL release on the Sweet ‘n Sassy website!

This is also a sneak peek of my new stamp set being released next Friday (the 9th) on the Sweet ‘n Sassy website.  🙂

sun shaped card

Hello!  It’s time again for another GREAT release at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.  You are going to love all the fun new images and dies!  The blog hops start Saturday so be sure to hop along for a chance to win.

This month I have a new sentiment set and I also have this fun shaped card template that’s available to download on the Sweet ‘n Sassy website!  For this card I used the new stamps & dies called Wish You Were Here.  The birds are from Serene Silhouettes.  Note: the new sets will be individually revealed from 8-10 pm in the SCS company forum.

The fold is on the left…so here’s what it looks like open…

And here’s a side view to show how the umbrella and drink were popped up…

After drawing some faux stitches, I laid down a thin line of Stickles on the edges so they are really sparkly.

Three years ago I drew the template I used to create this sun shaped card…but I never got around to uploading it.  (You can see my original card here.)  So I dug out the original card I made and traced it.  The template is now available here on the Sweet ‘n Sassy website. (Come join in our release party in the SCS forum… this template will be a freebie for a few hours!)  :^)  I hope you enjoy it!

stamps- Sweet ‘n Sassy- Wish You Were Here and Serene Silhouettes; paper- white; ink- SU! Crushed Curry and Soft Sky, Memento Tuxedo Black, Micron black pen; accessories- SNSS sun template, SNSS Wish You Were Here dies, sponge, Copics, dimensionals, Stickles.

a watermelon card for the SNSS release

Yay!  It’s release day for the new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps.  There’s also a challenge in the company forum on Splitcoast to win some Sweet ‘n Sassy goodies and I am hosting it!  My challenge is to make a Shaped Card.  Any shape will do except a square or rectangle.  So get out your dies, templates, etc. and make a fun shaped card.  (The template for my card is now available HERE on the Sweet ‘n Sassy website).

I love the new Sweet Kiwi Koala image so I made a watermelon shaped card to match…

The raindrops from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Clouds & Raindrops dies make perfect watermelon seeds.  And I cut a little “bite” out of the top fold with a scalloped circle die.  His watermelon and paws are all popped up on dimensionals…

Here’s the full release…hop over to the Sweet ‘n Sassy store and check them out!

kid cards

It’s my turn to share some cards on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog and today I have some cards that I made for kids.  First I used the Gifts From Turtle stamp set to make a card for a “turtle-ly” cute kid who turned 3…

I also made a kite shaped card (I love shaped cards!) using directions that my friend, Jeannette, found by Kelly Gettelfinger.  I used the grasshopper and a sentiment from the Buggin’ Ya stamp set.

The fold is on the top left side of the kite.  I used a Copic marker to highlight the word “hoppy” and make some dots on the scallops.  Some stickles were added to the blue strips.

Have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend!  Please remember all those who have served our country.
