Hello! Today I have another shaped card to share. And as promised, you can scroll down for the pattern if you’d like to make one too!
Also, today the ATS design team is reviewing the Swiss Pixies and Amy’s sentiment set from this month’s release. I chose to use the Heidi With Ornament image since the card template I made was in an ornament shape.

Once I had my pattern the way I wanted it, I placed it so that the top of the ornament was on the fold. After it was traced and cut out, I also traced and cut the top piece onto a scrap of silver cardstock. I thought about embossing the whole front with a Cuttlebug folder but then I changed my mind. Instead, I heat embossed it with a retired SU! background stamp and some silver embossing powder. The Swiss Pixie Heidi image was popped up on dimensionals.
Here’s the pattern if you would like to make it…it’s a very simple one. be sure to post back if you do so I can check it out!

Last night I finished up the rest of my OSW cards. I also used the One Of A Kind set along with Priceless. Here’s a pic of the finished cards. I may go back and add some more details later. I have to say that this is by far my favorite template that I made! I created it in 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch interchangeable “blocks” so that it can be easily adapted to suit your needs. You can cut it up as is, cut all 4 sections the same, or cut a mixture of the designs. And the pattern pieces were kept simple so they can be embellished as little or as much as you want.
I made 7 cards with this (the last 2 with the wavy cut are the same). But you can easily get eight cards by switching one of the blocks for the first one which only makes 1 card.
Below the pic are pdf documents of the template and directions. The template can be printed directly onto the back of the cardstock as a cutting guideline but please use your trimmer to measure the cuts accurately! My program was a bit wacky when I made the template and it is not exact. Have fun with this & post a link back here if you try it!

You can click here to see all of the cards uploaded for this challenge.
I immediately knew that I wanted to use one of the girls on the Inky Antics Hobby Girls cube. I love these images and don’t pull them out to use often enough! Then I thought it might be fun to make my card a flowerpot shape since the girl I chose was holding flowers. I thought I had a pattern for a flowerpot but after searching and not finding one in my patterns, I quickly created one of my own. Directions for how I made it are below. After I cut the flowerpot card out, I masked the top and sponged with ink to create the look I needed for the top of the pot. Then I realized that the new SU! Blooms & Bulbs wheel would fit perfectly in the area I sponged at the top.
Next I lightly wheeled the Rough Texture wheel over the base of the pot for a bit of added texture. The flower was stamped twice and layered from the SAB set So Many Scallops for my “something sweet”. The Many Thanks words are from another SAB set, Lots Of Thoughts.

To make the flowerpot template, start with a 4 1/4″ tall x 5 1/2″ wide piece of cardstock.
Measure 1″ down from the top and 1/2″ in from each side to create the top of the pot. Mark those points. Draw a line on the 1/2″ measurement for cutting.
Next, measure 1″ in from each side at the bottom and mark those points. Draw a line down both sides from the top points to the bottom points. This is the line you will cut to make the sides of the pot.
Use a corner rounder on the top corners.
Now place the top of the pot on the fold of your cardstock. Trace & cut out your card. Very easy!

This is a fun project that I made recently. I created my own pattern for the cupcake bag which can be found at the end of this post. I also made a set of tiny 3×3 cards which I kept very simple to slip inside. I really like how cute it turned out!

You can click on the thumbnail pic below to see the cards. Directions for making the set *should* be in the link below. I am not a computer whiz….sigh….so I am crossing fingers that it is accessable. The pattern should print out at the correct size….again crossing fingers….but it can also be enlarged to fit a larger bag of your choice. If you create a bag, link it back here so I can see!
