Tilda and a blue basket

magnolia-blue-basket-diane-zechman.jpgIt’s about time I used some of my Magnolia stamps!  They are just too cute to sit unattended.  ;0)

On Thursday I did some stamping just for fun and this is what I came up with.  I found the sketch that I used here on the Magnolia-licious challenge blog.  It was just the incentive I needed to get these cute images out and use them!  I also put a link to the blog over in my sidebar and I hope it will serve as a reminder to myself to frequently check it out.

Since the sketch has several layers, I decided to pull out a pad of coordinating papers to get started.  Then I colored my image with colors to match.  With summer upon us I thought Tilda would look like she was having a picnic by sitting her on the Easter basket.  I really haven’t seen a blue picnic basket, have you?  But I like it anyway.  LOL.

Have a great weekend!

Tilda notepad holder

magnolia-notepad-diane-zechman.jpgI have several projects that I recently made and haven’t had time to upload yet.  This sticky note holder is one of them.

I started coloring the Tilda image when I was at the gathering in Buffalo a few weeks ago.  Cheryl and Lisa were doing a Copic demo and this was one of the images Cheryl brought for us to work on.  I only colored her skin at the time.  Then recently I pulled out this fun paper and used the colors in it to finish coloring her.

I had one of these acrylic frames handy and thought it would be a perfect way to use my Tilda image.  Every time I use the notes I will remember the fun day I had with friends.  The solid yellow cardstock on the bottom is embossed with flowers which the picture doesn’t show.  I also used a scrap of the same patterned paper to insert into the barrel of the pen.

stamps- Magnolia Tilda and Old Bench; paper- white, DCWV Spring matstack, Making Memories embossed yellow cardstock; ink- Memento Black; accessories- Copic markers, RSVP pen, acrylic photo frame, sticky note pad, ribbon.

my first Magnolia card

magnolia-1-diane-zechman.jpgI made this card a few weeks ago to thank a friend for a sweet RAK.  She sent me a stamp with the image used here and she also sent some stamped images of a few other Magnolias she owns.  Now that I have my very first Magnolia stamp, I am anxious to purchase a few more!

I don’t know the name of this image…anyone know?  She sure is sweet!  I watercolored her  with Twinkling H2O’s.  The sentiment is from the C.C. Designs sentiment set.  I used some of the new Cuttlebug border folders across the bottom and the flowers & butterfly are Cuttlebug diecuts.  I used Stickles on the wings and a white gel pen on the body.

Check back tomorrow…I should have another sample from the C.C. Designs new Halloween release (which will be available to purchase tomorrow night!).

stamps- Magnolia, C.C. Designs sentiment set

ink- Palette Black
