We’ve had lots of company lately but tonight I had some time to make another card with my Valentine Critters set.  I like the sentiment on this one too…”you have a special place in my heart”.   

I am still trying to use up some of my Bittersweet paper from last year and I’ve barely made a dent in it.  LOL.  Sound familiar?  I think I need to add that to my mental list of resolutions….use up the paper packs.  Oh yeah….and the Primas too.

Are you keeping warm?  It has been so cold here…I’m ready for it to warm up a bit!  Riley LOVES to play in the snow though…we took her sledding with my niece and nephew this past weekend.  She was too funny!  I told DH we should have put her sweater on ’cause she was shivering and I had to bring her in to warm up.  BTW, she’s still getting the meds in her ear but it is much better now.  Thanks for asking.  :0)

Along with the new year came new numbers to remember…are you having as much trouble remembering as I am?  Everytime I write the year, I start out with 200…and then I catch myself and try to squeeze a number 1 in there.  LOL.  Maybe till next month rolls around I’ll get it straight. 

As quickly as time has been passing lately, next month will be here before we know it!  And that means that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  Here’s another card I made with my Valentine Critters set.  I chose to use some non-valentiney papers this time. 

Sorry the photo isn’t the best.  But you might be able to see that the little birdie’s beak and heart were popped up with a scrap of dimensionals.  And I dug out those “dinosaur age” scissors we all have to cut the edge on the strip of black.  Can you believe I still haven’t opened my Christmas present (a Cricut), yet I am digging out my old ProvoCraft scissors?  LOL. 

Have a great rest of the week!  Tonight we took Riley to the vet.  She needed some shots but she also has an ear infection that’s been bothering her.  Hopefully it will clear up soon.

Happy Thanksgiving, all!  I am thankful for many things and my friends are high on the list!  Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments…I really appreciate it!

Are you filled up with turkey yet?  I am typing this the night before, so I can hardly wait to taste it!  yum!

Besides Thanksgiving, today is also the day that ATS is previewing my new set for December…Warm Cocoa Wishes!  🙂

Here’s one of the images and sentiments from the set.  I applied Liquid Applique to the froth on the punched mug and the marshmallows in the main image.  The mug, hat, scarf and mittans were paper pieced.

The layout for this card was inspired by this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.  I have occasionally seen friends using their sketches for a while now but never ventured out to try one.  I was glad I did…they have some really great ones.  I added a blinkie in my sidebar to help remind myself.  You can click on it too and check them out!
