snow much fun

Good morning! Today I have two cards with some more cute snowmen stamps from this month’s release at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps! This set is called Snow Much Fun.  And if you haven’t checked out SNSS’s birthday sale yet, it’s not too late! This sale runs all month long. No code needed!

I die cut an oval shape from plain copy paper for my first card and used it as a stencil to sponge on a bit of blue. The I stamped the flakes and sentiment and popped the snowman up. There’s a little Stickles that doesn’t show in the photo.

I also popped up the second snowman…this time in front of a die cut window with patterned paper behind it. If you look closely, there’s some subtle red snowflakes stamped on the red cardstock base.

Have a great day!

Folk Art Snowflakes

Welcome to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps November Release Hop! There’s another fabulous release in the SNSS shop that we’ve been stamping with and we’re sharing our projects with you today! Hop along to the blogs linked below and leave a comment on each stop along the way for a chance to win a $10 gift voucher to the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog on Wednesday, November 20.

And check out SNSS’s birthday sale!

For today’s hop I used the Folk Art Snowflakes stamp set to create two cards. For my first one I used non-traditional colors, a mustard-y yellow and dark gray. The colors are well suited for the folk art style. This set is so pretty!

Here I used the flakes with a traditional red Christmas color and kept it monochromatic.

Have a great day and thanks for hopping!

cheerful snowmen

Good morning! Today I have two cards with a sweet snowmen stamp set from the new November release at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps!  We all love snowmen and this set is a must-have…so adorable! It’s called Cheerful Snowmen and they are aptly named… sure to bring a smile to all who receive them! (While you are on the site, be sure to check out the birthday sale. SNSS is turning 12!)

How cute is this snowy fella with his banner? Instead of coloring in his scarf, I dotted it with my marker tip.

My second card was inspired by one that was done maybe 8 or 10 years ago but I still love the look of the snowflakes punched with small circle punches. It really gives a whimsical feel to it!

Have a great day and check out all the new stamps in this month’s release!

Deck the Halls

Hello! Just a quick post to share two Christmas cards using Sweet ‘n Sassy’s new Deck the Halls stamp set. This set is pretty versatile and I love that popcorn string! I stamped the holly inside the bulb on my first card…

For my second card I stamped the bulb onto three patterned papers with foil designs.

The shimmer….

Have a great day!

Warmth of Christmas

Hey… we’re already a few days into September! That means fall is just around the corner AND there’s a fun new release at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps! In the crafting industry, September is also quite often the month companies are gearing up for Christmas so you have plenty of time to get your holiday cards and projects done. So today I’m sharing 2 cards with the Warmth of Christmas stamp set from this month’s release. On my second card, I also used Puppy Love.

The black color of these silhouette images caught my eye on the stamp label and so I decided to make my cards with a striking red & black color combo. The wreath was stamped in green, though, to help it stand out.

The fireplace is such a great image and I thought the dog would make this card even more warm & homey. I grabbed a scrap of patterned paper for the buffalo plaid background but here’s a great set to make your own!

Have a great day and go check out all the new stamps in this month’s release!

by the sea

Good morning! Today I have 3 cards to share using the Sweet ‘n Sassy By The Sea stamp set from the new release. I also used the July Stamp of the Month, Sentimental Wordfetti. My first card is pretty simple. I lightly “swiped” an ink cube across the panel for some texture, then stamped the image over top. The umbrella was paper pieced.

I stamped/masked the shells and starfish to coordinate with my sentiment on the second card!

And I masked the shells again on my last card to create a Christmas card. I tore a piece of paper and repeatedly sponged the edge for the background.

Have a great day!

born in a stable

Good morning! I thought I was done sharing Christmas projects for the season but today I have one more. The holidays were so busy that I didn’t have time to get a Christmas bible journaling page done yet…so I got one done a few days late.

I first applied some Recollections watercolor crayons to the page and blended them with a baby wipe. Then I stamped with Versafine Black ink and heat set it. Here I used some Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps: Season of Love (retired), Just Be, Note This, Common Words 1 (retired), Love Ya Like a Sister Alpha, Outline Alpha, My Creator (retired).

The watercolor crayons shimmer although you can’t see that in the photos. I also added a bit of gold washi to the bottom.

Have a great day!

merry and bright

Just popping in with one last Christmas card (I think lol). I don’t know if this style has a name but I made another card which has an open middle in the card front with the image panel bridging the top and bottom sections. I prepared this card for an event we had in the beginning of November. Each lady that attended was able to make this card as they got to my place at the tables.

I used the SU! Watts of Occasions stamp set and the Darice Light Bulb embossing folder (which matches perfectly!).

I colored the yellow bulb with a marker but stamped the green one onto a separate piece of green cardstock, cut out the tree, and layered it on top.

Happy New Year’s Eve…Have a safe night!

Christmas Circlet MTF

Good morning! Today I have another card that I made for the summer trade show. This one uses one of Art Impressions’ Circlets, 5025- Christmas Circlet MTF. When closed, you can peek through each fold to the images inside. What a sweet winter scene!

I started with a 4 1/4 x 11 card base and scored in 3 5/8″ from each end.

Here’s the front of the card opened. It was die cut around the candy cane signpost.

The right side is die cut around the house and tree…

When fully opened, Santa appears!

Have a great day!

from our home to yours

Hello! Just popping in to wish you a Merry Christmas! I hope your day is blessed and wishes for a great year ahead! Here’s a few more cards to finish out the holiday season. Next year I hope to get back into my old routine of making a few Christmas cards each month. It is such a big help!

Here I used Sweet ‘n Sassy Christmas Cookies, Christmas Pine, and Texture Tiles 3 to make a few CAS cards. For the first one, I turned the cookies into ornaments and hung them from the branches.

Love these cookie images!

The texture images in each texture tiles set are fun and easy to create backgrounds.

Have a Merry Christmas!
