cherished friend, choose faith

Good morning! Today I have two CAS cards using a few Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps. Here I used Long Stem Silhouettes, Celebrate Today, and Texture Tiles 2.

For the first card, I started with the brick pattern on the background. I wanted these flowers to really pop so I found a bright shade of red.

On the second card, I stamped one of the Texture Tiles just in the center of the card. Then I added the flowers, letting them hang over the edges of the wood-grain pattern.

Good morning! Today I have another card using the Llama Love set from the  Sweet ‘n Sassy August Release.

The llama image lying down goes perfect with this sentiment…don’t siesta let’s fiesta! I sponged some green ink over a stencil for my background and popped up a cactus to accent the main panel. Have I said how much I love this set? I love this set!

Have a great day!

llama just say…

Llama just say how much I love this stamp set! I was telling Korin that I wanted a llama set and conveyed some of the elements & sentiments I wanted. It’s hard to fit everything you like in, but she put our ideas together and came up with a great set! I’ll share another card I made this week and I’m anxious to make more. Plus, I can’t wait to use it in bible journaling!

Here I used Llama Love from the  Sweet ‘n Sassy August Release.

go with grace

Have you seen the new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps July Release? Here are 2 cards using the new set called Go God’s Way (there’s also a matching printable!). I also used an older set, Go With. I think they pair great together!

I kept the first card CAS and I love how it came together in simplicity.

A sweet friend of mine has a pink “bug” and a heart that follows the Lord so I made my second card in her honor. :)

free indeed

Hello! There’s only 2 more days left in June and we are creeping up on the 4th of July holiday so today I am sharing two cards I made earlier this month with a patriotic theme. I used the Free Indeed stamp set from the  Sweet ‘n Sassy June Release. I also used Brotherly Love and Scripty Thoughts on the second card.

After I previously made a card with a camo hat on one of the guys, I decided to make another with a serviceman.

Have a safe 4th!

no tomorrow!

Hey friends! I am just popping in quick with some kids’ birthday cards I made the other day. This time I was stamping just for fun and wow… how cute are these dinos?! I’m not sure what took me so long to use them!

These fun images are from Reverse Confetti’s No Tomorrow set. I also used the matching dies, No Tomorrow Confetti Cuts. I have to say that I was surprised how nicely the stamps inked up right out of the package. I will definitely purchase their stamps again!

When I went to their site to link up the set, I noticed a challenge on their blog and the theme is…birthday! lol. I guess I will go play along. :) Here’s some single pics… I love how they turned out. I decided not to color the images this time but they will be super fun to color another time I use them!

cacti greetings

Good morning! Today I am sharing two cards using some new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamp sets from the May Release. Here I used Refresh My Soul and the May Stamp of the Month, Scripty Thoughts (free with your $75 order).

On my first card, I punched a 2″ circle in the white layer. Then I used 3 small images stamped repeatedly to frame the opening. The cactus was added and the whole layer was popped up.

I stamped the large cactus repeatedly on the background of my second card. Then I punched three circles to add the cute cacti. Both cards have a few dots of Stickles to add a touch of sparkle. These images are versatile for many occasions.

Itty Bitty Blossoms

Happy Mother’s Day, friends!

Today I am sharing a couple cards using some new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamp sets from the May Release. I used Itty Bitty Blossoms and the May Stamp of the Month, Scripty Thoughts (free with your $75 order). But before I get to the cards, be sure to check out the Mother’s Day sale!

For my first card, I stamped the blossoms onto a kraft colored cardstock with black ink and spotlighted a few by coloring them with colored pencils. I also spotlighted the word “love” with a punched circle. The word “live” is actually the word “love” in which I didn’t ink the “o”, then I stamped the “I” in it’s place.

My second card is a bit “out of the box”. I used one of the leaves in the set to create heart-shaped flowers for my Bleeding Heart image. The background was sponged with a stencil.

The last card I am sharing today has a die cut background. The flowers and leaves were all stamped onto colored cardstock scraps and fussy cut. A simple “thanks” is all that is needed to finish it off!

I love the versatility of these two sets and they pair together so nicely.

a mother’s love

Hello! Sweet ‘n Sassy has just released some great new sets for May…be sure to check them out! Before I share any of the new stamps, though, I have two Mother’s Day cards using a stamp set from the April Release. Here I used A Mother’s Love. This set has wonderful silhouettes and on the first card, I heat embossed the image and sentiment.

For my second card, I masked and sponged the oval background. Then I stamped the silhouette and sentiment for a CAS card.

rose banner x3

Hello! Yesterday I shared on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog a couple cards using a new Sweet ‘n Sassy stamp set from the April Release. This is the April Stamp of the Month set, called Rose Banner, and it’s free with your $75 purchase through 4/30/18!

For my first card, I stamped the top of the roses twice onto a strip of white cardstock, cut around the top of the roses, and layered them over an embossed panel. The roses were colored with Copics.

rose banner hello friend diane zechman

For my second card, I first scored a piece of tan cardstock diagonally every inch in both directions. Then I masked and sponged the squares to make a tiled or quilted look. Then I placed the rose stamp in my MISTI tool and inked it with Distress Chipped Sapphire. I had a few missed spots and an idea hit. lol.  Instead of re-inking and stamping with the same color, I inked it with Distress Peacock Feathers. This gave a nice two-toned image!

My third card is a CAS one…again using my MISTI. Here I stamped it twice with 2 colors. The second time was stamped on a diecut panel and layered over the first one.
