monogram notecards

Good morning!

Today I am sharing some monogram note cards on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the Shake it Off Lowercase Alpha, Grunge Elements, and Scribble Flowers stamp sets.  These come together pretty quickly once you decide on your design and you can easily make multiples for a set (perfect for last minute Christmas gifts)!  I ended up with 3 layouts that I liked.

The first card was inspired by this one. Then I made two more versions with the same supplies, yet different layouts.  I got a bit carried away with the flowers here…lol…so the rest of the cards I made with this layout had less.  😉

Each one was embellished with some bling and bits of paper doilies.  The monogram letter circles are popped with foam dimensionals.

Don’t forget some matching envelopes!

a merry snowflake

When I was preparing for a swap last month, I made this Christmas card with some SU! (merry and borders) and Sweet ‘n Sassy (snowflake) dies.  Then I realized how many I had to make and how many passes through the die cut machine it would take and quickly scrapped the idea. lol.  But not before getting a few created.

My card was inspired by THIS one in the SCS gallery.

I glued the bottom of each layer of the snowflake down but added foam tape to the upper edges.

Christmas sled

At a gathering with friends last month, this was my card for the Christmas card swap.  I like the white on white with a pop of red!  What you can’t see is the sparkle of Stickles on the rooftops.

The sentiment is from my Poinsettias & Candles stamp set and the background is an old Cuttlebug embossing folder.   The Impression Obsession Evergreen Trees and sledding die came from The Craft Shack. :)

Have a great day!

a very dairy Christmas

Hello friends and happy Thursday!

Today I am on the Art Impressions blog with a couple cards using the Dairy Christmas Set (4789) .  I think this first one is my fave… how fun is that joyous cow?  I gave it a simple water-colored background and used some Copics to dot the festive scarf.

Santa shaker with foil hat

Hello friends and happy Thursday!

Halloween may be upon us, but we all have Christmas in the back of our mind, don’t we?  Have you started on your holiday cards yet?  Today I am on the Art Impressions blog with a CAS card using the new Santa Mini Shaker (4798) which includes matching dies (plus a mini wobble to get you started)!  When the Christmas crunch is on, I appreciate cards with a simple design to make creating multiples fast & easy!  This card fits the bill and has a few extra touches to make it stand out.

The first “ho” is a die included the set and the other two were stamped.  The mustache is also an included die and it’s perfect on a Mini Action Wobble!  You can also pop it up with foam adhesive.

I also made his hat shiny with some Thermoweb foil and adhesives.  The foil can be adhered using the liquid glue but I decided to use the Sticky Tape Runner on the backside of my stamped hat and apply the Red Foil Transfer Sheet to that.  Then I ran it through my die cut machine to apply pressure only, peeled off the foil liner, cut it out by hand, and glued it to my image.

Here’s some pics to show the shiny red foil and wobbly ‘stache…

living water

Good morning!

Today Sweet ‘n Sassy is featuring the new Living Water stamp set from this month’s release.  I made a CAS, one layer card with just some sponging, inks, and a white pen for accents.

This card only took a few minutes to make.  I love those!  It would be a nice way to send a note of thanks to a bible study leader, don’t you think?

Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!

so tweet

Good morning!

Today Sweet ‘n Sassy is featuring the new How Tweet stamp set from this month’s release.  Here I used the little bird to create a whimsical thank-you card.

I die cut the center from the polka-dotted layer and it was popped with foam tape to create a frame.  Some fussy-cut clouds were attached at the top.

sending sunshine (and goodies)

Several weeks ago I wanted to send a college care package in the mail and I came across a lovely card that I made at a gathering with friends which was designed by Linda Callahan.  I used her card for inspiration and changed up the paper and sentiment (mine was done on the computer).  I also added the butterfly.

To go with the sentiment, I wanted my box of goodies to have lots of yellow things included.  I was surprised at how easy it was to find lots of yellow!

I hope you are inspired to go find some yellow goodies and send someone a little sunshine too!

Have a great day!

hello hello

Good morning!

Yesterday I shared two more cards on the Sweet ‘n Sassy blog using the Scribble Flowers stamp set, along with a simple “hello” from Keep in Touch, Too.  I just can’t seem to get enough of these flowers with black & white papers…love this combo!

I simply started with 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 pieces of patterned paper and cut them in half on a slant.  Then you get two cards!  I wanted the first pattern to go in the same direction, so I placed one on the top & one on the bottom.

The second pattern didn’t matter, so I adhered both of those pieces to the bottom and made 2 cards like this…
