springtime blessings

Hello! I am sharing another card today using the Spring Blossoms set from the Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps February release. This time I used the tulip.

Again, I used a paper doily for this springtime floral card. I love the look of these and need to use them more often! The flower has some yellow undertones that didn’t pick up well in the photo.

Have a great day!

birthday daffodil

Hello! I am sharing a birthday card today using Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from the February release. Here I used the daffodil from Spring Blossoms.

I love to pair yellow with gray so I pulled out an old paper pad with those colors. I added half of a paper doily and it came together pretty easily. (I have another card with this set to share tomorrow!)

Have a great day!

life would be ir-elephant

Hello friends!  The current Ai Challenge is “Anything Goes!” There are SO many wonderful Ai images, so I just grabbed the first one I thought of that I hadn’t used yet! lol. Here I used 4533- Dream Big Set and the flower and sentiment are from 4856- Elephant PopCard.

I wanted to try paper-piecing this cute elephant and I decided to use yellow & gray papers to coordinate with the yellow paper doily. This is still one of my favorite techniques!

Now it’s your turn to break out your favorite stamps, make a card or project, and join us in the “Anything Goes!” Challenge!

Happy stamping!

when I rise

Hello! Today I am sharing a card using the Sweet ‘n Sassy stamp In The Morning from the February release.

I was thinking about what kind of background I wanted for the sentiment stamp when I remembered that I have some sample pieces I never used of various techniques that were made at least 10 years ago! lol. I know this because I made them sometime before a dear friend took ill. We both enjoyed trying new ideas. This is a simple, oldie but goodie…Smackin’ Acetate. I don’t remember if I used inkpads or markers but it worked well with this stamp. I just layered it, then added some washi and a flower with a button.

Have a great day!

sweet Easter chick

Hello friends and happy Monday!

Today I am on the Art Impressions blog with a card using one of the new Ai Easter sets. Here I used 5004- Sweet Easter Set. This card screams “spring” and I’m sooo ready for it!

Have you ever pulled out some patterned paper that was just so pretty that you hated to cover it up? Well, that was the case here! I wanted to add more layers, etc. but decided to keep it clean & simple with this beautiful paper.

It’s always difficult to show the glittery shimmer on cards so I hope this conveys a bit how gorgeous this paper is! It’s such a complement to the sweet flower and chick images in this set and really lets them shine. That chick is so cute!

oh glorious day

Hello! I am sharing a few cards today using Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from the February release. Here I used the What A Savior stamp set.

For the first card, I smooshed some Memento Teal Zeal and New Sprout inks onto a craft sheet and spritzed with water. Then I laid my white cardstock down to pull the color. When dry, I stamped the words with Tuxedo Black and the flowers with Teal Zeal. I stamped an additional flower with Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics, then popped it up with foam tape. Two gemstones were added above & below the words.

On my second card, I repeatedly stamped the flowers in black for a background, then colored just one in a very light turquoise. The word Jesus was outlined with a marker and the other three words were stamped onto colored cardstock, cut out, and adhered. If you look closely, there’s a hint of fine gold thread under the word panel.

Easter blessings

Hello friends!  The current Ai Challenge is “Sweet Treats!” and we are featuring the NEW Easter & St. Patrick’s Day clear Sets!

Here I used the adorable bunny in a pot of tulips image from 5004- Sweet Easter Set to create my card.

My favorite tulips are the red & yellow mix but I just bought a few that are pink so I am anxious to see those bloom (love pink!). I colored this with Copics and added a simple twine bow.

Now it’s your turn to break out your favorite stamps, make a card or project, and join us in the “Sweet Treats!” Challenge! This is perfect if you’re making cards or party accessories with goodies to satisfy a sweet tooth! Your project doesn’t have to be food related, so just show us how you like to treat your friends with a hand made card!

Hello friends and happy Monday!

Today I am on the Art Impressions blog with a card using one of the Ai Valentine sets. Here I used the 4215- Tina Set to make a fun, witty valentine that I’m pretty sure a lot of us can relate to. Ha! Ai has a great selection of valentine stamps… from sweet to funny. There’s something for everyone! Be sure to check them out.

This image is a great size! With the added sentiment on the main panel, I kept the layout simple and just added a die cut “topper”. To jazz it up a bit, I paper pieced her dress and balloon, then added some Stickles to the hearts on her dress. I finished it off with a few Nuvo drops.

Have a great Monday and… happy stamping!

Hello friends and happy Monday!

Today I am on the Art Impressions blog with my last card (for now!) using the Ai Mouthfuls. This was also created for last year’s trade show. Have you seen pics from the January show? Bonnie has so many awesome sets coming soon!

Here I used 4949- Dog Mouthful Set.

There are several accessory images in this set, with fun options of items to put in his mouth…including the tongue and bone used here. I think I need to try the cookie next!

love and joy on your birthday

Hello! I am sharing a set of cards today using Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps from the January release. Here I used Thoughtful Words and Whimsy Bouquet.

After stamping, I didn’t know what color I wanted to make the flowers so I decided to make all three different! When I had my panels colored, they seemed like they needed a little something extra…and then I remembered how much just a few simple scored lines can make an effect. I added a few enamel dots and finished them off with a bit of Stickles and Wink of Stella for some sparkle.
