so excited!

Hello friends!

Today is my first day to share a card as a member of the Art Impressions Design Team!  As I was thinking about which stamps to use, I found this AI set called His & Hers Gardening which is exclusively sold in Michael’s stores.  The sentiment was perfect for my first post today!  😉

I have to admit, though, that I am a terrible gardener!  I do not have a green thumb (unless I’m getting inky!)  LOL.

You can see below that I punched a decorative edge on the BACK of my card.  I thought I would take a few pics along the way to show you how easy it is to do.

Before I get to the card design, though, check out how cute the gardener is close up!  I paper pieced her apron to match the card.

And here is a side view showing the gardener, flower pots, and sentiment circle popped up.

Now here’s a little picture tutorial to help you make the card base.  I forgot to mention that you should punch the corner first.

  1. Love your cute card, it’s a hoot! Thanks for the tutorial! I can’t comment on AI, but I love their products and the cards the designers make.

  2. Love, love, love that cute sentiment. Awesome first card, Diane:) love the fancy schmancy loopy border and tutorial and all the fresh colours and paper piecing. I too am pretty poor when it comes to gardening, but I like the organic food I grow with no sprays or chemicals!
