acetate overlay pasture birthday

Brrr…are you staying warm?  We are quickly tiring of the frigid temps and are already waiting for February to be over!  It looks like another cold week ahead.

I played with some new SU! stamps recently.  I really liked the From The Herd stamp set when I saw it in the catalog so it was one of my first choices.  Here’s my card…

This set will be fun to color… but I knew that I wouldn’t always want to color it.  😉  Then I remembered a card design and sketch that I made 5 years ago which would be perfect for this set.  I stamped the herd onto a clear acetate panel with Stazon Black ink and used it as an overlay.  The brads hold the acetate in place so no additional adhesive is needed!

Here is my updated sketch with measurements for each panel.

The acetate panel is optional.  Use patterned papers, embossed or stamped panels, etc.  The brads can be moved to whichever panels you want…but you need to use at least 2 brads to keep the acetate layer in place.

Have a great week and stay warm!
