more shower pics

I have more pics today from the bridal shower…there were too many for one post!  First is the invitation.  There are several variations online for inspiration to make this style of card.  Since I needed quite a few, I went CAS (clean & simple) and made my own pattern for the dress.

The shower information was typed and printed for the inside so these went together fairly easily.  The words are from SU!

To decorate, we hung colorful paper lanterns on lines of string which is so popular right now.  They looked very cute!

My neice made the cupcakes… she does a wonderful job.  The ones on the top right plate are my new FAVE….Coconut Cream!  They are filled and so yummy!  The chocolate frosted were Boston Cream and the dress was made with 2 flavors…plain vanilla and raspberry filled.

Yesterday I shared pics of the table decorations and here’s one of the tables set up.

After we ate, it was time for a game.  Kayla likes the show Minute To Win It, so I suggested this to one of the bridesmaids and she did a great job in putting it together.  First up, the mothers had to race to take the tissues out of the box…one by one.  It is hard to grab just one!  I had them flying in the air and on the floor.  lol.

Next challenge was to toss rings into a bucket.  Judy rocked this one and got the required amount in first.  (That’s my cupcake girl tossing rings on the right!)

Here the little girls had to “un-tie the knot”…strings of pearls wrapped and wrapped around the ladies.

Ashley got a little silly putting together and stacking the glasses and Kim finished seconds before her.

I will spare my sister-in-laws the FUNNY photos of the challenge to get the garter from one leg to another without using their hands.  lol.  They were laughing before they even started.

Our game host called this challenge “So you think you can dance”.  I also heard it before as “junk in the trunk”.  Here our bride-to-be went against Jeannette to shake the Ping-Pong balls out of the tissue box (without using hands).  Again…saving the embarrassing photos!  ha!

Mary Ann rocked the challenge to get 6 rings on her straw first.  No hands.

And everyone got a prize for being a good sport!

To end the day, here’s Kayla opening one of her many wonderful gifts.  We are so blessed to have great friends and family!

Have a sweet day!
