new beginnings

Today I am playing along with the SCS sketch challenge.  Hoping for spring weather, I used the butterflies and matching dies from the SNSS set called New Beginnings.  I also used my current fave paper pad…MME- The Sweetest Thing.

This card also has a fun, moving butterfly on the inside. The one on the right pops up.

Here’s a few pics of the card as it is opened.  The butterfly moves as if it is flying.

The template for the “mechanism” that makes one piece move is not my original idea but I don’t know who to give credit to.  A search has given me no results.  It was a template called “kickin’ tab guide” and it was used with a pair of boots (so that one boot would “kick”) … as in “kick up your heels”.  I will attach the template below but please let me know if you know the origin so I can give credit or remove it and provide a direct link.

Edit:  Apparently this was originally a stamp by Museum of Modern Rubber (possibly 2000-2001?) so I have removed the template.

stamps- SNSS New Beginnings; paper- Baja Breeze, white, black, MME- The Sweetest Thing; ink- Memento Tuxedo Black; accessories- SNSS Butterfly dies, Spellbinders Fancy Tags and Circle Nestabilities, Copics, ribbon, Stickles.
