here a chick…there a chick…and a pattern

I received an e-mail with a request for the pattern to make these chicken cards.  The original design is by Michele Ghent (mitchygitchygoomy on SCS) and she was inspired by the ever-talented Anna Wight and her illustration, Rollerderby Hen.  Michele does not have the pattern online to download but she (and Anna) have graciously given permission to post it here.

And….I figured as long as I was sharing the template, I might as well make a card or two.  😉

I had traced Michele’s card a while back and saved it on my computer.  You can use a heart punch for the comb and either trace a heart for the wing or use a heart die.  I cut the beak and wattle out together and extended the right side a bit for an area to glue but you can cut the beak and wattle out separately if you like.  I glued the beak & wattle to the inside of the card, and the heart “comb” to the back of the card.

Right click on the pattern & click “save as” to download to your computer.

And if you like what you see, go give Michele and Anna some love.  🙂

stamp- sentiment from Paper Smooches Green Acres; paper- DCWV Green Stack, vanilla; ink- Distress Tea Dye, Memento Rich Cocoa; accessories- heart punch.
