Happy Halloween weekend!
It’s Saturday and it’s snowing…yikes! The ground is already mostly white. It’s a good day for staying in and catching up! So I’m going through my “need to upload” pile. I have a few projects that I still must take photos of but here’s a little Halloween bag-a-lope (Genie style) that’s been sitting in my files.
This SU! set, Wicked Cool, is so fun! I love those witch feet!
I die-cut some My Mind’s Eye Halloween papers with the Spellbinders Reverse Wonky Rectangles, then cut the bottom to be flat and attached them to the front & back of the bag-a-lope.
I attached one of the buttons I altered with Promarkers to the rosette. Rosettes are so “in” right now. If you don’t have a die to make them, no worries…they are super easy to make with your Scor-Pal! The black rosette was made with a strip of the My Mind’s Eye Halloween paper.
Here’s how to make Paper Rosettes:
Score ½” x 12” strips of patterned paper every ¼”. Accordian fold. Attach ends together, overlapping slightly, to make a ring. Push one side of the ring to the center to flatten it. Hold in place and attach a 1” circle to the bottom. Turn over and attach a ¾” circle to the top. Decorate as desired.
Options: adjust the ½” width to desired size to make larger rosettes, roll the edges in acrylic paint, add glitter, roll the edges on a Versamark inkpad and heat emboss with embossing powder, punch one edge with a border punch before scoring, or add buttons, brads, Liquid Pearls, Stickles, punched circles, etc. to centers. Have fun with them!
