Today I have two summer birthday cards to share so it may be a long post.  ;0)   First up is a masculine card.  I had fun with this one!

I started with a Gate Fold card using Chocolate Chip cardstock.  (the Scor-Pal makes Gate Fold cards SO EASILY!)  I placed some pieces from the Tim Holtz Timeworks mask onto the cardstock and spritzed with some Ice Rink Smooch Spritz.  Then I placed the mask pieces onto white cardstock and sprayed with the same Smooch Spritz.  It was also sprayed onto the blue Cogs punched pieces.  It has a slightly different look on each of the light, dark, and medium colored cardstocks.  The sun was spritzed with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. 

For the images, I stamped them with Colorbox Espresso, Curry, Grass, and Boysenberry inks and embossed them with clear e.p.  This card really shimmers!

Here’s the inside of the Gate Fold card.  It doesn’t show in this pic, but there’s lots of shimmer on the inside too…

My second card is a girly Z-Fold (I made mine vertical).  Much more clean & simple than the last one but I like it just as well.  This time I used the Colorbox Molding Mat- Spots.  It is basically just a long unmounted rubber stamp and can be used just as that.  But it can also be used with polymer clay, Magicstamp Moldable Foam, and the Colorbox Stylus Moldable Tips.  Since I don’t have any of those, I was thinking of other products I could use.  Aluminum Foil would work.  But I remembered playing with sheets of fun foam years ago and thought I’d try that again. 

Here’s the Z-Fold card when opened.  This is another fun & EASY card to make with the Scor-Pal!  The word “Celebrate” was stamped with Clearsnap Espresso ink and embossed with clear e.p.

I cut a triangle of cardstock for the cone.  The scored diagonal lines were created with the Scor-Pal and sponged with light brown ink to highlight them.

For the ice cream, I used some scraps of pink and brown fun foam craft sheets.  They were heated with a heat tool and then I quickly “stamped” them with the un-inked Colorbox Molding Mat.  Press firmly and hold the stamp for a few seconds until the fun foam cools.   The stamp creates a de-bossed, or indented pattern.  Then I punched the fun foam pieces with a circle punch and attached them to the card with Scor-Tape.  Cool!  & Fun!  The “cone” was attached with dimensionals.

Gate-Fold card: stamps- SU! Extreme Elements, Extreme Dirt Bike, AmyR The Best Sentiments; paper- white, Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Baja Breeze; ink- Colorbox Espresso, Curry, Grass, and Boysenberry; accessories- Scor-Pal, clear embossing powder, Smooch Spritz Ice Rink & Vanilla Shimmer, SU! Cogs punch, Tim Holtz Timeworks mask, BossKut Sun die.

Z-Fold card:  stamps- Colorbox Molding Mat- Spots, SU! Perfect Party & It’s Your Birthday; paper- white, Fossill, ink- Colorbox Espresso, SU! Crumb Cake & Pink Passion; accessories- Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, fun foam sheets, heat tool, clear e.p., brad, pop dots.
