in a pink! mood lately…

I’ve been in a “pink” mood…don’t know why.  Maybe it’s all this yucky weather and wishing for sunny days and springtime flowers.  We got one or two teases of spring…and we’re back to cool, rainy days.  pffft.  My DD and friends tell me that it snowed in the Buffalo area and other parts of NY yesterday.  Say it ain’t so!  ugh!

At least I can create my own spring on paper!  This card was made for a dear friend who’s birthday is this week.  And of course I made it before I headed out the door on Saturday when I was going to see her.  No time for coloring here…so I relied on a pretty 2-step image from SU!

I also made a few extra and changed out the words so I could use them for  thank you cards.  It’s a pretty versatile image and design, I think.

The photo corner was punched and then scored in the center with my Scor-Pal.  I folded it and sponged the center for a slightly different look.

Here’s another pink obsession I have lately…Triple Berry Smoothies!  Yum!  Imagine my disappointment this weekend when Sam’s Club was out of strawberries.  LOL.  The horrer!  😉

I recently ordered and received the Ninja… ♥ !

Here’s what I put in them…

1 1/2 cups of mixed strawberries, blackberries, and  raspberries

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt

1/2 cup milk

2 tsp. sugar, adjust to taste

1 cup crushed ice

I also substituted blueberries or peaches for the raspberries.  Use any fruit you like!  And when I ran out of yogurt, I used peach ice cream instead which made it even better….gee, I wonder why…LOL.

Tonight I’m going to try making ice cream in the Ninja…supposedly it only takes 30 seconds!  :0)
