giving shelter

Published by diane (cookiestamper) at 6:26 pm under Stampavie, cards, etc.

ram-snail-diane-zechman.jpgHello!  I took a break today from planting flowers to finally take a pic of this card I recently made.  We still have a few more flowers to plant…..are you done planting?

This image is from the new Rachelle Anne Miller collection and it’s called Giving Shelter.  I decided to go a bit crazy with the color of the flower and just make it a fun, cheery card.  The Prima flowers actually match the color of the flower in the image better than the camera showed.  The color of the Orchid card base is a little off too.  Sorry about that!  Sometimes it’s hard to get the camera to cooperate.  ;0)

I pulled out some retired SU! paper from quite a few years ago for the layers.  I’m surprised that I still have some of those old packs left and I need to make a point of using them up!

The smile word is from an AmyR set called Beach Sentiments and the short rows of black dots are from the C.C. Designs Fairy Junebug set.  The rest of the dots, dashes, and x’s were hand doodled.

You can pop over to the Stampavie DT blog to see more samples of the cute stamps that Stampavie sells.

This is so cheery! The vibrant colors are so pretty! I have not even planted a single thing this year and don’t plan to at this point. I did re-landscape my yard by myself last year, so I am pretty much covered, but maybe I’ll do some potted plants with the kids. They love to dig! :)
    TFS!

Nope…not done planting. Just working on the weeding. Did you know that Oregano is very invasive? It’s everywhere, including the lawn lol!

    Love the colorful creations!

Well, we (and when I say “we”, I REALLY mean DH, lol) got alot of perennials this year instead of buying annuals that only last for one season…although I do miss my pansies!! Our lilies are now blooming; they are so pretty! This card is awesome Diane! Love the colors you chose!! :)
