embossed acetate box
Today’s Wednesday challenge at All That Scraps is to use acetate on your project. I have been wanting to try one of these acetate boxes, so this challenge was the perfect incentive! While I was browsing SCS a few days ago, I realized that this box was a recent technique challenge as well (TLC182). You can check it out and get directions here.
I filled my box with those little striped soft mints. I’m not sure what they’re called….I call them “elf pillows”. LOL. Whatever they are, they’re addicting! The little monkey with ornaments is from the C.C. Designs newly released set, Christmas Around the World. He’s so cute! I stamped the single ornament twice and layered it on to cover up a smudge I made when I dropped the box while trying to add the faux stitches. They were an after-thought…next time I’ll stitch before the box is put together! ;0)
Here’s a close up pic so you can see the embossed acetate better. I first ran my piece of acetate through the Cuttlebug Snow Dots folder. Then I scored the sides and taped it together with the red line tape. I love the look of embossed acetate! It adds so much to the finished project.
Go check out the ATS blog for more acetate samples & I hope you play along!
