“Peek-A-Boo” card

orange-you-sweet-outside-diane-zechman.jpgYesterday was another fun day at the CNY gathering in Syracuse!  My friend Linda shared this really fun card design with me and I decided to use it for my shoebox project.   Michelle Ide wrote a tutorial for this “Peek-A-Boo” style card and the directions can be found here.  A window is created in both the front & the inside of the card which reveals a message when the card is opened.  Very cool!  The first pic shows how the card I made looks when it is closed with the image of the orange peeking through.  I created the sentiment “orange you sweet” on the computer to fit inside the SU! oval punch.  And the frame around the window was punched from SU Summer Picnic paper with square and Mega scalloped square punches.

The second pic shows the card with the words sliding in front of the orange image as it is opened.  When the card is fully open the orange is hidden and the words “thank you” show through the window.  I’m not sure where the white paper is from….I purchased it several years ago.  It has a slight texture to it and is a heavier cardstock.  I chose to use this to make a sturdier card base.

stamps- Tart & Tangy, Happy Heart Day (inside words)

paper- Bashful, Summer Picnic dp, non-SU! white

ink- Pumpkin, Bordering

accessories- computer for front sentiment, ribbon, heart brads, oval punches, square punch, mega scallop square punch
