from the garden
This Level 1 hostess set caught my eye when the SU! catalog first came out. I loved the sample in it and how they stamped the flower without coloring it! So when I finally pulled this stamp out to make a sympathy and another card, I was planning to stamp it without coloring it in. Well, one thing led to another and as you can see….the cards did not evolve as planned. After I colored the flowers, I decided to cut them out and layer them over an embossed background. When the cards were finished I wanted to add Crystal Effects to the flower centers and then decided to also add some clear microbeads. So what was supposed to be a quick, monochromatic card turned into an all night project. But I do like the end results.

Wow. So beautiful. I need to get back into my stamping projects. I’ve been slacking, mostly because I got too busy with other things. I love those cards. They are great!
I love this one. I want this stamp so badly, but I just haven’t had the extra money to get it. Now I think I am going to have to buy a lot of stamp sets just so I can get it.
These are gorgeous.
