twinkling butterfly

butterflies-1-diane-zechman.jpg  A few days ago I mentioned that I had some news and so now I’ll share that with you. I am honored to now be designing for CC Designs (All That Scraps)! This butterfly is one of Christine’s newly released images. And I will have more to share with you over the next few weeks. 🙂 I have to say that I was impressed with the deeply etched rubber and I am looking forward to working with some more ATS images!
This entire card was made with shimmery white cardstock. It is really hard to get a good pic of the shimmer without washing out some details. The butterfly was embossed with white embossing powder and watercolored with Twinkling H2O’s. Then I applied some flat backed pearls that I found at Target. I wish I had picked up more! I was hesitant, unsure of the quality. But they seem to be sticking fine so far. The diagonal striped embossing on the layer beneath the butterfly was made with the Scor-Pal. I *love* my Scor-Pal and use it on every card I make!
