dreary day
It’s been a dreary day outside today. I was glad to be able to stay inside and get started on another 6×6 recipe swap I’m in! Anyway, I just wanted to post and ask HeyHeyPaula to e-mail me your address and I’ll get the Sleigh Bells Ring card out to you. ![]()

Oh So Lovely set
Not too long ago I finally got this Level 1 hostess set and I wanted to make a set of cards with it for a gift. Here are 3 of the cards I made. I wasn’t sure if I liked the 4th design…it was ok, but I won’t bore you with it.
I loved the simple elegance of the first 2 and I was equally happy with the 3rd! Sometimes working under pressure is a good thing. Ha! I was up untill midnight the night before I needed the gift working on these. LOL. But I did get 16 cards done! Crystal Effects was applied to the flower on the first two and the Textile embossing folder was only cranked through the Cuttlebug halfway and then backed out so that only half of the cardfront was embossed.
stamps- Oh So Lovely, Vases in Vogue, Warmest Regards
paper- white, Artichoke, Cameo
ink- Black, Cameo, Pomegranate, Artichoke, Night of Navy
accessories- ribbon, oval punches, paper piercing tools, Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder, Crystal Effects
stamps- Happy Harmony, Oh So Lovely, Script
paper- non-Su!, Night of Navy
ink- River Rock, Bayou, Artichoke
accessories- paper piercing tools, eyelets

Would you like this card?
I happen to have one Christmas card left….one of the Sleigh Bells Ring cards I made. I cannot think of a better way to send it than to mail it out to one of my readers. ![]()
Just post a comment by Wed., Dec. 26 telling me what you enjoyed the most this Christmas and I will use the random generator to pick a name. The card will arrive a bit late for Christmas, but the wish is still the same. Thank you for stopping by the past few months! Mondo hugs!

a December Dirty challenge
Jami challenged us to make another card and this time it was decided that the theme would be penguins. We were required to use “ice” somewhere on the card and in deciding what we would be restricted from using, I suggested the color blue. I’m anxious to check out the cards and see what colors everyone decided to use!
I was planning to use one of Anna’s penguin images that was stamped & RAK’d to me but plans changed last night and I also had to make a set of cards for a gift today. (yes, my name should be last-minute Lucy!)
I had a back-up, though. Recently I needed a birthday card for a teen and when I finished this criss-cross card, I realized that it fit the challenge- cool! So here is the card I made a few weeks ago and hopefully soon I’ll make another with Anna’s penguin! The “ice” on my card is some Stickles that was applied around the penguin….very sparkly IRL!
You can view all of the challenge cards here.
stamps- Punch Pals, Fun & Fast Notes, It’s Your Birthday
paper- Making Memories, non-SU!
ink- Black, Celery
accessories- colored pencils, Round Tab punch, circle punches, Scallop punch, Prima, Stickles, white gel pen

Sleigh Bells Ring…
Oh, I love this set! It isn’t the style I normally pick but I am so glad to have purchased it! I needed a bit of inspiration for a layout to use with it so I checked out some of the latest sketch challenges on Splitcoast. This was sketch #153. I also broke into an unopened pack of SU’s Wintergreen ds paper. It worked so well with this set! This is the last of my Christmas cards for this year. Now to get them in the mail!
stamps- Sleigh Bells Ring, Season’s Greetings, Lovely As A Tree
paper- Artichoke, Sage, White, Wintergreen ds paper
ink- Cranberry, Artichoke, Sage, Caramel, Cocoa, Soft Sky, Bayou
accessories- silver brad

Grandma’s Sand Tarts
Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas if we didn’t make my Grandma’s cookies! It is one of our family’s traditions and brings back fond memories. My job is to mix, roll & cut them out. Everyone else decorates them. DH said the trees were Blue Spruce this year….I guess we ran out of green sprinkles. oops! And I think that Santa hat looks like it belongs to Mrs. Claus! I doubt that Santa would be sporting pink.
(I have to admit….I decorated the hat. LOL.)
My Grandma’s Sand Tart Cookies
Cream:
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups butter
Beat in 2 eggs.
Add:
4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Chill 2 hours.
Roll out and cut with cookie cutters. Place on baking sheet.
Brush with unbeaten egg white and decorate with colored sugars and sprinkles.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

new banner!
I have been enjoying the preparations for Christmas and listening to the wonderful music! Next my cards need to be addressed! I made another set of cards a few days ago and will upload a pic soon. In the meantime, how do you like my new banner? My friend, Michelle Laycock, made it for me! Wasn’t that sweet of her?
It looks soooo much better than the one I made a few months ago!

Big on Christmas cards
A few more cards are done! This time I used the SU! Big on Christmas set with some leftover Dashing ds papers. I couldn’t decide how to add the main image. I had one vote to keep it straight and one to make it crooked. I should know better than to ask! LOL. I obviously decided to offset it but it still needed something so I cut out and popped up the images in the corner. Then I added glitter glue for some sparkle.
stamps- Big on Christmas
paper- Non Su!, Dashing ds paper
ink- Black, various markers for coloring
accessories- ribbon, pop dots, glitter glue
