Jen’s Halloween image challenge

Now I know why I *had* to have that little bottle of Black Diamond Stickles I saw a few months ago! It was perfect for the cat’s witch hat. ;) This image is from Penny Black and was sent to me by Jen del Muro for a blog challenge. It was a lot of fun to work with and I can’t wait to see what the other ladies came up with! Jen will post on her blog with links to all the projects of those who participated on Oct. 5. Be sure to check them out here.
I made this little treat box by cutting down some 4″ chipboard coasters. The front & back have 2 sides cut away to remove the rounded corners. They measure 4 x 3 1/2. The two sides were made by cutting 1 chipboard coaster in half and then I trimmed these also to remove the rounded corners. I then covered them with Halloween paper and punched holes with my Crop-A-Dile to tie them together with ribbons. 2 tabs were made with the Round Tab punch and holes were punched in the center to attach a ribbon handle. It was a fairly easy project….the hardest part was cutting and gluing a piece to make the bottom. I didn’t follow any directions but I found a link here to show you how to make a basic chipboard coaster box.
